Marie-Eve Gilla is one of Washington's most recognized female winemakers. part-owner and winemaker at Walla Walla's Forgeron Cellars,

Kay Simon and her husband Clay Mackey founded Chinook Wines in 1983. Kay is a 1976 graduate in enology from the University of California at Davis. She gained valuable winemaking experience working for wineries in California and Washington State

Patricia Gelles is Queen of the Mountain in Red Mountain which is within the Yakima Valley. Along with her husband David they own Klipsun Vineyards.

She's a former Londoner with spiky, fuchsia-colored hair and a reputation for outspokenness. Her personal intensity is matched only by the cult-like status of the wine grapes she grows on 120 acres on Red Mountain, overlooking the Yakima River. Gelles' grapes garner lots of customer loyalty and typically capture the highest price per ton of any wine grapes grown in Washington. Wine and Spirits magazine named Klipsun as one of the world's top 25 vineyards. (1)

Anke Friemuth- Wildman, a native German, grew up in the Mosel Valley, famous for its world class Riesling wines. Exposure at an early age to wine-growing and winemaking led her to study viticulture and enology at the prestigious Geisenheim Institute on the Rhein River. She has crafted wines in Germany, Switzerland, and since 1990 in Washington State at Steppe Cellars .

Linda Trotta is winemaker for Swiftwater Cellars in Cle Elum, Washington, about 80 miles east of Seattle. Swiftwater Cellars

In the mid 1990's she spent time at Santa Monica Winery in the Rapel Valley, Chile. And in 2003 she worked with Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons in Paarl, South Africa, In 2101 she joined Swiftwater

Dawn Kammer and Mary Tuuri Derby founded DaMA Wines of Walla Walla

Virginie Bourgue is the winemaker at Olympic Cellars

Bourgue grew up in Bonnieux, Provence, in the south of France, and her winemaking style combines the sense of restraint that is typical of wines from France with the best elements of Washington wine: intense fruit and concentration of flavor.

Like a master chef, Joy's approach to winemaking begins with cultivating and choosing the finest ingredients. Throughout the growing season, she can be found in the vineyards assessing vine and fruit development, and working with the grower to optimize pruning techniques and irrigation regimes. Come harvest, Joy is so intimately familiar with each varietal's flavor profile that she already knows how she will showcase those flavors in the finished wine.

Kerry Shields is the Director of Winemaking for Côte Bonneville Winery , located in Sunnyside, Washington, in the Yakima Valley. Founded in 2001 by Kerry's parents, Hugh and Kathy Shields, Côte Bonneville is the estate winery for DuBrul Vineyard

Holly Turner is the winemaker for Three Rivers Winery in Walla Walla. Prior to joining the winery in June 2000, she received an unparalleled education in the art and science of winemaking through positions at several acclaimed wineries, including Chateau Ste. Michelle's River Ridge Winery and Bodega la Rural winery in Mendoza, Argentina.


Kate Michaud is the winemaker at Covey Run's
Born in Detroit schooled in London England college in Eugene, Ore all before she discover wine.

Her first job was at Bonny Doon Vineyard. before enrolling in the Winemaking Certificate program at UC Davis. After a year, Michaud set sail for WA - not Washington state, but western Australia - where she worked a harvest in the country's Margaret River region. It was not un till a few more experience in various areas that she joined Covy Run's in 2007.
