Abeja Winery

The name is Spanish for bee. The name is used for its simple beauty and a reminder of when farming meant a respect for the enviroment and a close connection to the earth.

Their estate vineyard is called Heather Hill, 17 acres of estate red Bordeaux varieties, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. Varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Red Blends, Syrah and Viognier.

The winemaker is John Abbot. Traditional methods combined with innovative techniques, and a meticulous commitment to detail, define the Abeja winemaking philosophy.

Devin and Debra Stinger completed their dream of starting a winery in 2006. Adamant is a doublet for diamond. Their mission is to craft elegant wines through an uncompromising process that retains the integrity of the grapes and their vintage. Devin is the winemaker.

A premier, family owned boutique winery and vineyard located in the vast foothills of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, Washington. The Schafer family… recently began the àMaurice winery with Anna Schafer serving as winemaker. The winery owns 15 acres and purchases some contract fruit. Current production stands at 2200 cases and is expected to top out at 4000.

A new winery facility is also in the works. Tom is the general manager and visionary of àMaurice Wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Red Blends, Rose, Syrah, Viognier and White Blends

Basel Cellars Estate Winery

Basel Cellars offers acres of landscaped gardens, patios and vineyards overlooking the Walla Walla River with vistas of wheat covered foothills nestled against regal violet mountain silhouettes. Basel Cellars produces 6500 cases per year, with a focus on Bordeaux-style blends, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaking facility is housed in a 9600 sq. ft. subterranean structure. The facility has been in full production since 2002

Pheasant Run and Double River Ranch vineyards, both of which are located in the Walla Walla Valley are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo and Semillon. The Chelle den PleasantVineyard, located on the south slope of the Rattlesnake Ridge in the Yakima Valley grows Cabernet Franc.

Winemaking philosophy: gentle and minimal handling at each step in the winemaking process. "We pick fruit at its optimal maturity level to express the true flavors of the grape and site. we let the fruit sit on its skins for 3-5 days prior to innoculating with yeast in order to extract color and enhance the wines flavor and mouth feel."

The historic Thomas Homestead built in 1926 and remodeled in 2003 to accommodate the Beresan Winery. The winery is owned by the Waliser Family. Tom Glase is the winemaker producing wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sémillon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec grapes.

Annette Bergevin and Amber Lane co-founded and created Bergevin Lane Vineyards with Gary Bergevin. The winery officially opened its doors in May 2003; the winery is a 20,000 square foot “modern industrial” building located in downtown Walla Walla.

The winemaker is Steffan Jorgensen. Their winemaking vision is to create elegant styled wines that reflect harmony between fruit and oak. "Stylistically, we make wines that reflect the unique Washington terroir attributes, while maintaining integrity to the varietal characteristics."

The winery was started in 2000 by the husband and wife team of Nina Buty Foster and Caleb Foster. Caleb is the winemaker. The name is pronouncedBeauty.In 2006, Nina and Caleb purchased ten acres of Grand Cru stony land in Walla Walla, on which they have planted their organic Rockgarden Estate. This land will grow the Rediviva of the Stones (blend of syrah and cabernet sauvignon) in the years to come.

Varietals are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon,Chardonnay, Merlot, Red Blends, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillion, Syrah, and White Blends

Signature blends are Columbia Rediviva' and the ‘Rediviva of the Stones'and Beast
Their philosophy of winemaking reflects the old religious worldview of human growth from body to mind to soul to spirit, called “the great nest of being.” The all inclusive nest of being grows over time as we reach for the spiritual levels of life.

So too, Buty wines evolve including and expanding their quality at each stage of their development. "Our wine's development is a cumulative and artistic process. Every stage of growth is equally important for a fine wine, starting with a great site developed into a vineyard, from fruit into wine, from cellared bottles to our enjoyment at a shared meal. A great wine calls for complete attention as we expand the qualities present at every stage."

Cadaretta Wines

A new winery owned by The Middleton family. The Anderson & Middleton Company, has been in business in Washington since 1898. The company is headquartered in Hoquiam, Washington. Rick Middleton is the proprietor of the winery, Virginie Bourgue is the winemaker. The estate vineyard was planted in the Spring of 2008.




Canoe Ridge Vineyard

It all began in 1989 when a group of farmers began planting vines on Canoe Ridge. Today they have 143 acres These vineyards are seventy miles from the city of Walla Walla where they have a tasting room located in the historic Walla Walla Engine house. Canoe Ridge was so named by Lewis and Clark on their journey through Eastern Washington.

Christophe Paubert is the winemaker producing Merlot, Merlot Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Table Wine, Chardonnay, Muscat, Gewürztraminer and Late-harvest Gewürztraminer

Winemaking philosophy at Canoe Ridge begins in the vineyard, where the level and quality of ripeness become the foundation of every new vintage.

Christophe Baron grew up among the vineyards and cellars of his family's centuries-old Champagne house, Baron Albert. He could have remained in France and grown old making fine champagne. But he's got an adventurous streak--and that's how he became the first Frenchman to establish a winery in Washington State. He named his vineyard after the Cayuse, a Native American tribe whose name was taken from the French cailloux--which means rocks.

The majority of the vineyard is planted with Syrah, and the rest dedicated to Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Tempranillo and Viognier. Cayuse claims to be the first winery in Walla Walla to farm using biodynamic methods.

Bowin Lindgren - Owner and winemaker. The winery is named in honor of his Great-Grandparents and forefathers from France. Edouard Rollat, Bowin's Great-Grandfather, was one of the Foremost wine authorities in New York at the turn of the last century. College Cellars

A nonprofit teaching winery located at the Center for Enology and Viticulture on the campus of Walla Walla Community College. It is one of the only two-year teaching commercial wineries in the United States. College Cellars wines are crafted by students as a part of their study of the science of wine making. Students hand fill, cork, and label all wines.

Deborah and David Hansen spent years growing grapes for other wineries then in 2001 they opened their own winery at the city airport. Deborah Hansen is the winemaker at Cougar Crest Estate

All wines are made from grapes grown in their own vineyards and fermented, aged and bottled at the family winery.

In her very first year of professional winemaking, Deborah's 2001 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon won "Best Cabernet of the Show" at the LA County Fair, the oldest and most prestigious wine competition in the United States

The winery makes its home in a rustic, remodeled World War II era airplane hangar in Walla Walla, and the future looks promising for Dunham Cellars. The family-owned winery continues to increase production and wine varietals, and has planted estate vineyards in prime locations around the Walla Walla Valley Appellation. The owners are Mike and Joanne Dunham.
