Almost thirty years and three generations ago, the Fox family recognized the potential Wahluke Slope began an agricultural operation that has evolved to include the Fox Estate Winery. Their vineyards reside on the sun drenched slopes of Saddle Mountain. actually began planting grapes twenty five years ago, starting with the varieties of Riesling and Gewürztraminer In 2001, the year in which we premiered our first vintages in our own label, we bottled approximately 400 cases of the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon and 500 cases of the 1999 Merlot Jerry Fox is the winemaker producing appox 8,000 cases  Merlot,Syrah ,Lemberger Riesling and Sangiovese are produced

Located on the edge of the Wahluke Slope AVA – an isolated, south-facing plateau bordered on the west and south by the winding Columbia River , to the north by the Saddle Mountains , and to the east by the Hanford Reach. They are only a few miles from the Petrified Ginkgo Forest. Owners are Mike and Lois Thiede Their first vintage was 2007
