Located in the historic twin cities of the Lewiston-Clarkston. Vineyards were a bount in the late 1800s but prhibition ended flrdging industry until Basalt Cellars opened in 2004. Owners are Rick Wasem, Don McQuary and Lynn DeVleming..

The name comes from the surrounding hills which are composed of Basalt rock.

Rick Wasem is head winemaker. In addition to Bordeaux and Rhone-style wines they produce a lemberger port. IN 2004 the winery produced 200 cases in 2006 they crushed 26 tons of grapes.

Pullmans only winery established in 2004 by Patrick Merry the winemaker. Patrick's focus and philosophy follows a "minimalist" approach...work with only premium vineyards and adopt a winemaking style that allows the quality and character of the fruit to shine through.
