The Oregon Columbia Gorge AVA was established in 2004, the river represents the boundary between Washington and Oregon. The AVA extends to both sides of the river, the total area is 4,432 acres, with just over 300 acres in vineyards. Primary grapes grown are Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Piont Gris.
