In 1996 Tim and Kelly Hightower meet when working for the same company in Seattle their love of wine brought them together. They decided to create their own winery. The young couple dove into their dream while keeping their day jobs. Months of hands-on cellar rat work and diligent research in their free time paid off with ovations of their inaugural release of 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2002 they moved to the Red Mountains purchasing 15 acres of prime, undeveloped vineyard land now growing 5 clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 clones of Merlot and 1/2 acres of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc signature wine: Cabernet Sauvignon Winemakers are Tim and Kelly Hightower one of the first married co winemakers. John and Ann Williams originally purchased their undevloped land, 86 acres in 1972 Their first vintage was in 1980 producing 25,000 cases. Kiona is a Yakima Indian name for their location -- literally translated, it means brown hills Scott Williams is the winemaker. They also label Vivacious Vicki Wines.

Established in 1985 by ownerand winemaker Eppie (Evelyn) Skelton. Eppie believes in aging his wines. He produces Lemberger, Syrah,Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling philosophy that great wines require time to bring out their rich, pleasing flavor.

Sandhill Winery is a small, family owned winery specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Gris. The winemaker is Pete Hedges  Their best seller is Cinnamon Teal bottled under the Ridgefield label. They produce just over 7,000 cases annually.

A beautiful 25 acre winery. Larry Pearson winemaker and owner along with his wife  Jane  began the initial work in 1985. He selected Red Moutain as he felt it was the best place to grow his favourite cabernet sauvignon. Tapteil comes from the Sahaptin language,which is the native language group of the Yakima and Nez Perce tribes.Directly translated it means "narrow" and specifically refers to the Yakima river which gives Red Mountain its unique climate.   Tapteil makes only a few cases of wine each year selling the majority of its grapes Signature wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah

	Terra Blanca Vintners 34715 N. DeMoss Rd., Benton City, WA 99320
Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyards sits on 300 acres of Red Mountain, a treeless mountain in the arid, sunny desert of eastern Washington. The owner/winemaker is Keith Pilgrim He started the winery in 1993. Underground barrel storage caves are used.
