France, Italy and Germany long before the New World made its mark, today the wines of Canada, Chile, Argentina and the US are ranked among the world's best.
The topic of wine is fascinating and often times emotional. It is a simple agricultural product, yet may have a tendency to be shrouded in mystery and complexity. It is important to realize that wine has been placed on dining tables for centuries as a natural beverage that serves as a pleasing and logical companion to food.
Few other products offer as much diverse subject matter as wine. Interests range from cultivating personal vineyards, visiting the actual property of a winery, collecting wine labels, building a fine wines collection, to simply taste-testing different wine styles with friends.
This website focuses on Washington ,Oregon, and Idaho in the Pacific Northwest. Outside of California Washington is the second largest producer of wines in the United States, with Oregon being the unknown gem in wine production. Oregon and Washington share some of the same appellations. many Oregon wineries source grapes from Washington. Idaho also shares the Snake River Appellation with Washington State and sources grapes from other AVA's in Washington
