The wonderful world of wines began before history was recorded. Wines became associated with
France, Italy and Germany long before the New World made its mark, today the wines of Canada, Chile, Argentina and the US are ranked among the world's best.
We could in the United States make as great a variety of wines as are made in Europe, not exactly of the same kinds,
but doubtless as good." -- Thomas Jefferson
Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.
Ernest Hemingway
The topic of wine is fascinating and often times emotional. It is a simple agricultural product, yet may have a tendency to be shrouded in mystery and complexity. It is important to realize that wine has been placed on dining tables for centuries as a natural beverage that serves as a pleasing and logical companion to food.
Few other products offer as much diverse subject matter as wine. Interests range from cultivating personal vineyards, visiting the actual property of a winery, collecting wine labels, building a fine wines collection, to simply taste-testing different wine styles with friends.

River Appellation with Washington State and sources grapes from other
